Access is now open for participants to begin the first of the three blocks that make up this first edition of the DRE Morphofunctional Assessment Course. With the coordination of Dr. Paco Botella Romero, Dr. José Manuel García Almeida and Dr. Diego Bellido Guerrero, the endorsement of the Area of Nutrition of the SEEN and the collaboration of PERSAN FARMA, this course is launched with the aim of providing comprehensive training on the techniques of classical and emerging nutritional assessment for contextualization in routine clinical practice through the knowledge and experience of 31 experts in Clinical Nutrition. Throughout 3 online blocks and 4 face-to-face workshops, we will review in depth the DRE and the process of screening, assessment, diagnosis and coding. We will advance in the assessment and morphofunctional diagnosis of muscle and the tools to be implemented in clinical practice such as the assessment of hydration status, nutritional ultrasound, BIA and phase angle, CT, dynamometry, intake, circumferences and folds, functional tests, nutritional adherence and quality of life. The course includes a scientific forum on research experiences in which these techniques of morphofunctional assessment of DRE are put into practice.
